I don't think it looks bad.The lights are kind of ugly.I disagree about buying a quad on looks alone.I think this is what the buying public wants and it;s about time someone other than Honda or Yamaha is not afraid to step up.Everything from R&D to marketing and even this forum are in place and up to par. What remains is to see how they back up there product. In the past the only way to develope fast, lite weight good handling quads is to comepete with the best and it looks to me like the best is going to have to get better.I can't wait to see this thing hit the market. The engine alone is enough to sell me on it.

Well, I have wanted this bike since I heard about it's development about 5 years ago and all that it will need when I get one is to remove the lights, add some Trail Techs, trim the fenders, pipe and filter and I'm done....:D

John Gallagher on another site said his TRX450 with the HRC kit can't touch this bike...:D

If anyone want's to see this thing in it's proper context....

yah i've been really lookin forward to this to, i sold my yfz to buy an srt-10 ram, and ow i'm getting the itch for another quad, but if the looks stops a lot of ppl from buying it, then that means less ppl will be riding the same bike as you, its like their new sleds, can't wait to get mine, and after riding their 800, i'm pretty psyched

In general I think all quads are kinda ugly so to me looks are relative. If your a yamaha guy/girl, your more likely to think the yfz looks better than the others and so on.... I happen to like the looks of the new ds, with or without the lights. As others before me have said, we'll all just have to wait till they hit the dirt to really see what they're all about. Did I mention that I hate waiting..lol...It's just that I have about 7500 bucks burning a hole in my pocket!!!!

im sorta wondering if maybe the ds450 is just not as corked up from the factory as all the other quads. I think we will really just have to wait and see how it does after a pipe and some mild upgrades
